At the end of the in house CV preparation and interview techniques training course, delegates will be able to:

  • Understand the role and skills of the job skills trainer
  • Know their strengths and development areas as trainers
  • Appreciate the essential conditions for learning
  • Appreciate the impact of delegates’ learning styles
  • Understand the importance of visual aids
  • Understand the motivation factors in getting people to learn and stay involved throughout the learning process
  • Apply the basic steps in creating a new training programme
  • Understand task analysis and breakdown complex technical processes into manageable ‘training’ chunks
  • Apply questioning techniques and ‘guided discovery’ in their training
  • Apply a range of learning methods to involve the trainee
  • Apply a structured process to instruct a trainee in a particular skill
  • Deal confidently with a range of audience types and difficult situations in training

Course Features

  • A variety of training methods are used including group discussion, syndicate work and ‘skill practice’. Delegates complete a practice 1-1 instruction (a 10 minute training session on a topic of their choosing) during the day, receiving detailed feedback on their strengths and development areas
  • Delegates are supplied with full support documentation in spiral bound format
  • A mini exhibition of interpersonal skill books, additional handouts and ‘hints and tips’ sheets will be provided for delegates to browse during the day
  • Prior to delivery of the in house train the trainer course, we would host a telephone meeting to establish the nature of the delegate’s roles, their strengths and development areas and any aspects you would like us to emphasise.
